Atlanta & North Georgia Building Trades Council and Affiliates
The goal of ANGBTC is the stability of employment and economic security of organized construction workers in Atlanta & North Georgia. Their purpose is to create more work opportunities, achieve living wages, and protect benefit standards, not just for the members of our local unions and union affiliates, but for all construction workers.
Aikens Ford has proudly served Winder, Georgia since 1966. They prioritize putting customer needs ahead of their own to ensure that customers have the best overall automotive experience possible.
Today, nearly 14% of Georgians in the prime working years – ages 18-64 – have not graduated high school or earned a GED. Therefore, our purpose is to promote a strong, well prepared workforce that measures up to the needs of 21st Century employers.

IN THE DOOR serves thousands of customers and local business clients monthly through workforce development, economic development, and training. Focusing on making a sustainable impact and practical innovation, their multi-disciplinary team of professionals has extensive experience working with city, county, and state governmental entities and private-sector firms.
Our mission is to build better futures for adults by teaching literacy, life, and work skills that empower them to reach their highest potential. Literacy Action is a pipeline to employment, better wages, technical colleges, and the university system. They offer free classes to all levels of adult (ages 16 and over), learners working toward a certain functionality goal or a specific credential (like passing the GED exam), ESL, and Citizenship classes. Real world context, health, digital and financial literacy are components of every class.

WorkSource Atlanta serves as the workforce system for the City of Atlanta. The agency will provide job seekers with resources to attain sustainable employment and collaborate with business leaders for the recruitment and development of their labor needs.
