TradesFutures brings skilled-trades career opportunities to you through flexible, primarily virtual training. Participants can explore different trades, build industry knowledge and career-ready skills, and prepare for their next step with the support and resource of GABTA.
What makes it different
Prepare for your next step
Unlike YouthBuild, TradesFutures students arrive with a high school equivalency. This means all of your time in the program can be spent preparing to enter into the construction trades.
Through our online program, you will have an opportunity to gain credentials essential for a successful career in the building trades such as your Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) and your Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA).

There is no upper age. Career changers, people coming out of other industries, and anyone looking for new opportunities are welcome!

Training Options That Fit Your Goals
Depending on your age, education status, and eligibility, you may qualify for additional training opportunities through GABTA.
Participants may have access to hands-on construction training, industry-recognized credentials, career preparation, supportive services, and connections to apprenticeship and employment opportunities.
Earn credentials
MC3, OSHA 10/30, welding, forklift, CPR & AED, logistics, solar, and more.
Union access
Twenty-two affiliated local unions and their Joint Apprenticeship Training Committees, met directly rather than through an application portal.
Placement support
Career placement staff work the apprenticeship application with you and continue supporting you even after you are on a job site.
