GABTA teaches participants the skills they need to take their rightful place in the construction trades and helps them to build a future for themselves and their families. Your donation helps us continue to change lives by providing essential support to our students.

Where it goes

All donated funds assist students directly and allow them to overcome barriers that may otherwise negatively impact their ability to finish the program and enter into a stable career. For example, your donation may help purchase:

  • Transportation (MARTA Breeze Cards, Lyft Vouchers)
  • Food (Lunches, Grocery Cards)
  • Protective Equipment (Masks, Safety Goggles, Hardhats, Gloves)
  • and more!

Every donation, regardless of its size, holds immense value and will directly impact the lives of those we serve. Give a different way

Transportation is the barrier we hear about most

A graduate can hold every certification we issue and still lose the job in week three because they could not get to the site. GABTA has two programs to help address this barrier, and both run entirely on donations.

4 Wheels 4 Work

Getting to the job is part of keeping the job. 4 Wheels 4 Work puts graduates in reliable vehicles so a first shift does not become a last shift.

Donate a vehicle

If you have a fully operational used vehicle that you would like to donate to a person working to build a better future, please give us a call at 470-823-4185. We will work alongside you to transfer the vehicle to the recipient; GABTA does not take ownership of the vehicle during this process.

Fund a vehicle

Cash gifts go into a fund the Academy uses to buy vehicles. A used car in safe, working condition is the single highest-leverage gift anyone makes to this program.

Insure The Ride

A vehicle a graduate cannot insure is a vehicle they cannot legally drive. Insure The Ride covers participants’ car insurance until they get settled into their new job and can begin paying it themselves.
